Our client had a growing issue with their call centre procedures, which they were addressing with some internally designed training. We were approached to bring this training to life. The training content needed to be relevant to its target audience, it needed to be fresh and unique so that the participants felt enthused by the training, and it needed to be memorable in order for a legacy to be built up within the organisation.
The approach to the project was influenced by the fact that the central story required numerous characters and locations so we decided that the best way to keep the project to budget was to produce an animated film to accompany the training resource. The finished film uses live action elements and a graphic novel illustration style to create 2D animation and motion graphics sequences that effectively bring a comic-book style to the small screen.
The style of the animation subsequently informed the illustration, design and packaging of the finished resource.
This groundbreaking method of engaging with employees was initially delivered to 4,000 call centre staff. The results were so positive that the training has now been rolled out to their global operations.
As well as having a massive impact on business procedures, making huge savings, and seeing the customer service department become more efficient the project was also a winner of a National Training Award.
