In a diverse and fast-moving organisation such as Kilnbridge, safety is paramount. As part of their ongoing commitment to providing a safe environment for all their staff, the leadership team were keen to focus on the attitudes of all their leaders, supervisors and staff.
As an organisation focused on continuous improvement where lessons learned from practical experience are shared throughout the business; our challenge was to focus on a real incident and create a series of bespoke and impactful sessions. Firstly a full-day session for the leaders and then a series of half-day sessions for all staff in the organisation.
In order to portray an authentic version of the site incident, our Creative Director Mark Knight produced a hard-hitting film featuring interviews with the staff involved in the incident. This authentic and emotional film provided a focus for the sessions which also featured a cast of actors delivering theatre created especially for Kilnbridge.
Delivered over the course of 5-days in Docklands, London the key themes of the sessions included:
I understand the importance of a ‘Don’t Walk By’ mentality where unsafe acts or situations are effectively challenged immediately.
I understand my responsibility to always follow the correct safety procedures and how my personal choices influence this.
I understand the importance of demonstrating positive, proactive leadership of health and safety on a daily basis.
99% of those who attended would recommend the course to a colleague.
“Today’s course gave everyone an invaluable insight into all aspects of health and safety. Most importantly we are encouraged to challenge others and consider welfare of others.”
“The best interactive seminar I have ever been to. A lot of which can be applied to all aspects of business, working behaviour and life. The impacts of protocol and understanding not just at the workforce but throughout the line from top to bottom. A learning curve and a good motivational push to improve myself and those around me. Thank you.”
