Our challenge was to recognise and celebrate the safety achievements so far, and help Wates make a transition from good to great.
A critical part in this was in the consistency of behaviour of its management team. In a large, complex organisation operating in a demanding sector during difficult times; the management team face a variety of challenges to maintain business efficiency. As a forward-thinking organisation, they recognise that there is an on-going requirement to maintain focus and ensure that best practise is delivered as standard by all of their senior team, at all times.
It was important that we delivered a stimulating session that recognised the performance improvement made, but also challenged the leadership team to build on this success and encourage the continued personal ownership for raising standards to an even higher level.
Working in close partnership with the health & safety team, we designed and delivered a bespoke session to 100 representatives of the Wates Group Senior Management team at their annual conference.
The sessions incorporated filmed elements, live theatre and a series of facilitated activities, all of which were designed to deliver our key objectives:
“A fresh way of learning and engagement with a clear objective of challenging how we can improve leadership.”
“Very good, thought provoking, inspired action in a number of improvement areas.”
“Without doubt, the best directors safety day to date.”
“Finding new ways of delivering the same message and engaging people is a constant challenge when leading the H&S agenda! The team at Juice Learning have a fantastic ability to quickly analyse our needs, our culture and what was required from the session. The day went better than my best expectations: with a very professional and engaging style, using powerful theatre that really excited delegates and energised them to challenge and improve their H&S leadership styles and behaviours.”
