The annual EVCOM Awards which celebrate excellence in corporate film and visual communications are the most prestigious within the industry and being shortlisted alone is no mean feat. Naturally, competition was fierce, with an incredibly high standard across the board and Juice was pitched against a number of award-winning organisations within our category.

‘The Pay Off’ Juice’s Award-Winning entry told the story of a culmination of events across a variety of Alstom Transport sites within the UK, the result of which was a fatal accident, dramatically portrayed and narrated by the victim. The project, which was commissioned to promote the introduction of a new dynamic risk assessment process within the business, was designed to encourage participants of the training to understand the potentially fatal impact of a chain of seemingly unconnected behaviours exhibited and decisions made by characters working in a manner which doesn’t take changing risk factors into account.
The film, one of three created for the resource, was accompanied by a comprehensive workshop plan designed to be delivered in-house by managers across the business. This was launched through a train-the-trainer day delivered by a Juice facilitator, working with managers to help them get maximum impact from the sessions by utilising a delivery style which encouraged participation and engagement from the trainees.
“We went to Juice Learning with the outline concept of what we wanted to achieve with the DVD and learning material for our POWSA (Point Of Work Safety Assessment) programme. Juice helped that concept come alive and the feedback from staff we have received since the launch has been extremely positive. It was great to be asked to accompany key members of the team to the EVCOM awards last week to see the film receive the recognition it deserved.”
